Art 8
HEALTH POLICY

HEALTH: a) The Somali Labour Party shall commit itself to establish fund and guarantee a Universal Health Care policy for all Somalis. Shall plan and develop accessible heath service in all Somali villages, districts, and regions.

b) Shall build new hospitals, repair and rehabilitate existing but damaged ones, drop in community clinics, train health professionals, and retrain former health care providers.

c) Purchase and establish mobile health care clinics, train paramedics, and encourage private health care system to function and operate alongside the public health care system.

d) Nominate and establish independent Health Commission mandated to plan, execute, and supervise all Health Care related services provided by the public and private sectors, strictly control all imported and locally manufactured medical drugs to prevent abuses be committed in the Health care industry.

Art 9
Universal Declaration of Human Rights

a) The Somali Labour Party shall commit itself to respect and abide by the Human Rights mentioned in the UN Charter that shall not violate and contradict the Somali Religion, culture, and tradition.

b) Shall consider and recognize as a right not a necessity the right for food, water, health care, and education for all Somali citizens, and shall elaborate rules and regulation that will provide public service for children, mothers, elders, and disabled group.

c) Shall accommodate all Somalis in the public administration, and give all the right to vote and to be elected democratically.

Art 10
Membership requirements.

MEMBERSHIP: Every Somali Citizen shall be eligible to be a Somali Labour Party Member provided he/she qualifies in accordance to the party’s internal regulation and eligibility criteria and requirements:

a) Must be Somali Citizen, mature according to the rule of law of the land and religion, must be able to stand trial, which means must be mentally healthy, and must not have been convicted criminally by a legal court.

b) Must not be drug addicted, criminally notorious, have never been involved in the Somali Civil Wars, and must have a credible reputation among his Somali colleagues, modestly literate or educated, but above all must be a Nationalist and honesty polite.

c) Other criteria and requirement may be considered and evaluated as additional by the Party Member committee in charge of the membership and admission selection process of the Party.

d) The Party shall elaborate and legislate its own Internal regulation that shall define, regulate and decide upon all other Issues related to The Somali Labour Party’s membership in accordance to the rule of Law of the country.
